Nope, we aren't banishing the cat from our home, though she did get out last night. This morning when Evan was on a walk with his grandparents, a tabby cat was following them. The cat followed them all the way to the park. Eventually when they left the park Evan said "Bye cat". He said 2 words together, it's happened a few times, but now it's happening more often and it feels great.
That's all for now.

It's been way too long...
It's been almost a year since i posted anything, and what a crazy almost year it was!
To cut to the chase... the hearing aids didn't do much for Evan. Long story short, he now has bi-lateral cochlear implants. He was implanted in Sept 2008, activated October 2008, and fully activated by December 2008.
It's almost been a full year since his full activation, and let me tell you, he's doing amazingly well! He hears everything. I'm not really sure how all things sound to him, but he hears. He also talks, imitates, listens, and follows orders. He goes to AVT (audio verbal therapy) every Friday and meets with his wonderful therapist Mila. He's basically on track for his "hearing" age. I'm so proud of him.
It's been a journey so far, a tough one, but we're getting through it.
I'm going to try and keep my blogging up-to-date from now on. So if you're reading this, come back soon....
